Over the last 35 plus years I have worked in Hospital, Community, Karitane, Aboriginal Health. My passion is to empower parents to see their strengths and be the parents they want to be.
Mother of 2 grown children
Grammy to beautiful Grace
Kelsie is mum to gorgeous Grace (I am not biased at all).
She has worked in Childcare, Toys are us, Bunnings (On Mat leave).
She is working behind the scenes making sure things run smoothly.
She is an asset to me as she is a very responsive mum with great compassion for other mum's journeys.
At Learning the Baby Dance, we recognize being a parent is the most important job you will have.
Finding your feet will take some time. It's important you feel supported as you navigate this journey. As midwife I understand the journey from pregnancy to six weeks. As a Child and Family Health Nurse I have experience in early childhood. I am coming from a gentle parenting perspective. My family partnership training and work insures I come from a strengths base acknowleging you are the expert on your baby. My experience as a mum and now a grammy means that I understand many of the struggles that parents face today.
Looking after yourself is so important so you can be well to care for your baby. Understanding you will make mistakes (we all do) but each time we learn and realise we can do better with more knowledge.
It helps to have someone who recognises and shares what you are doing well.
I have been supprting breastfeeding mothers for over 35 years. I have additional experience and education in tongue tie, increasing your supply, Hypoplasia, and all areas of lactation
